Over 80 people joined, from a variety of locations.. The presentation, a huge success, by Chief Bill Tyler, covered the history and current role of Fire Safe Marin, as the education and outreach arm of Marin Wildfire. Stuart Tanenberg, the Firewise Community Liaison, discussed firewise communities informing us that there are 93 in Marin County! Kathleen Cutter (Ember Ready, Marin Wildfire) talked about how her work with Firesafe Marin, Marin Master Gardeners and ESP came together through projects such as Ember Stomp.

The presentation will cover the history and current role of Fire Safe Marinas the education and research arm of Marin Wildfire and will be delivered by ChiefBill Tyler, Executive Director of Fire Safe Marin. Stuart Tanenberg, the Firewise Community Liaison, will discuss the importance of individual homeowner responsibility and the philosophy of "neighbor helping neighbor".
We see this occasion as an excellent opportunity for ESP members and other participants to align their expertise with Fire Safe Marin’s initiatives. Some will be joining us to talk about their experience, including Kathleen Cutter (Ember Ready, Marin Wildfire) who has been active with Marin Master Gardeners, Firesafe Marin as well as ESP.
