Dr. Daniel Swain "Hydroclimate Whiplash in California"
Daniel L. Swain, PhD, Climate Scientist, California Institute for Water Resources, University of California Agriculture & Natural Resources and Weather Extremes Across Scales, NSF National Center for Atmospheric Research.
This is a joint meeting with the Climate Action Working Group of the Marin Conservation League (MCL) and the ESP Partnership, together with Marin Wildfire.
Dr. Swain, our distinguished guest and friend, focuses in his presentation on hydrocarbon whiplash in CA and rapid swings between weather extremes, meeting decarbonization goals and learning what is involved in communicating, as he does so masterfully, about science and climate change to the broader public. He will answer our questions and discuss with Mark Brown, the latest challenges to Marin County.
